This page summarises, in plain language, the rights you have in relation to your personal data processed by MATEGEO INTERNATIONAL SRL (Str. Prieteniei 1, Bl. L1, Sc. A, Et. P, Ap. 2, 710077 Botoșani, Romania, tax ID 47774229, J2023000161076) and explains step by step how to exercise them. It complements our Privacy Policy, which remains the reference document for all details regarding processing.
1. Your rights under the GDPR
Regulation (EU) 2016/679 guarantees you the following rights under Articles 15–22:
- The right to be informed – to know who processes your data, for what purpose, on what legal basis and for how long. This information is set out in our Privacy Policy.
- The right of access (Art. 15) – to obtain confirmation that we process data about you, a copy of that data and information about the purposes, recipients and retention periods.
- The right to rectification (Art. 16) – to correct inaccurate data or complete incomplete data.
- The right to erasure (Art. 17) – to request the deletion of your data where it is no longer necessary, you have withdrawn consent, you have objected to processing or the data has been processed unlawfully. This right does not apply where the law requires us to keep the data (for example, invoices for 10 years).
- The right to restriction of processing (Art. 18) – to ask us to "freeze" processing, for example while the accuracy of the data or an objection is being verified.
- The right to data portability (Art. 20) – to receive the data you provided in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format (for example CSV) and to transmit it to another controller.
- The right to object (Art. 21) – to object to processing based on legitimate interest, on grounds relating to your particular situation, and at any time, without giving reasons, to processing for direct marketing purposes.
- The right not to be subject to automated decision-making (Art. 22) – we do not make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal effects concerning you.
- The right to withdraw consent (Art. 7) – at any time, for processing based on consent (newsletter, analytics and marketing cookies), without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.
- The right to lodge a complaint (Art. 77) – with the supervisory authority, if you consider that your rights have been infringed.
2. How to submit a request
The simplest way is to email contact@mategeointernational.eu with the subject line "GDPR request". Alternatively, you can send your request by post to MATEGEO INTERNATIONAL SRL, Str. Prieteniei 1, Bl. L1, Sc. A, Et. P, Ap. 2, 710077 Botoșani, Romania, marked "Data protection". No special form is required and we do not charge a fee for a first request. Where requests are manifestly unfounded or excessive, in particular because of their repetitive character, we may charge a reasonable fee or refuse to act on the request, in accordance with Article 12(5) GDPR.
3. What to include in your request
So that we can respond quickly and accurately, please state:
- your full name and the email address or telephone number you used in your dealings with us (this is how we identify your data);
- the right you wish to exercise (access, erasure, rectification, etc.) and, where relevant, the data or processing concerned;
- the context of your relationship with us (website form, quote, contract, campaign);
- how you would prefer to receive our reply (email or post).
To protect your data, if we have reasonable doubts about the identity of the requester we may ask for additional verification information. We will never ask you for passwords or bank details.
4. Response time
We will acknowledge receipt of your request and respond within 30 days of receiving it. If the request is complex or we receive a large number of requests, this period may be extended by a maximum of 60 additional days; in that case we will inform you within the first 30 days of the reasons for the delay. If we are unable to act on your request, we will explain the reasons and the remedies available to you.
5. Complaint to the ANSPDCP
If you are not satisfied with our reply or you consider that the processing infringes the law, you may contact the Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP):
